LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A Norton Commons boutique will host a special evening event to support The Julep Ball, an Official Event of the 140th Kentucky Derby®.

Located at 9428 Norton Commons Blvd., cale & cole will host a reception Thursday, April 10, from 6 to 9 p.m. Admission is free.A percentage of the evening’s sales will be donated to The Julep Ball which benefits the James Graham Brown Cancer Center at the University of Louisville.

An added bonus will be the chance to purchase dance-only tickets for the May 2 ball at a discount for $50 each; these tickets are priced normally at $100 per person.

Complimentary hors d’oeuvres will be provided by Karem’s Pub & Grill, wine from Commonwealth Tap and a chocolate tasting from Cellar Door Chocolates.

Opened in 2012 by California native Julie Mackenzie Moore, cale & cole features Moore’s natural stone jewelry and reflects her close connection to nature which has inspired her to seek out repurposed and reclaimed decor and fixtures. Her environmentally conscious way of thinking also is present in her accessories: repurposed journals, natural leather handbags, “Positively Green” greeting cards printed on 100 percent recycled paper, clean-burning, soy candles with natural waxes and botanical ingredients, and more.

The boutique also features Moore’s signature jewelry line, Wallace Gold. “The Wallace Gold line was inspired by my father, Wally Mackenzie,” she said. “He believed there was power and strength in words. These sterling silver and 24k gold necklaces highlight some of his favorites. I hope they will touch your life as much as they have mine.”
