UofL’s Kent School of Social Work and Office of Community Engagement are offering a free caregiver luncheon Nov. 7 to show appreciation for Louisville-area people who tend to others and to remind them to safeguard their own health. The 11 a.m.-2 p.m. event will be at the Muhammad Ali Center, 144 N. Sixth St., in downtown Louisville.

Civic leader Alice Houston, co-founder, president and owner of Louisville-based logistics services provider Houston-Johnson Inc., will speak at the luncheon about “Caregiving: An Unselfish Act of Love.”

Vendors from health care agencies will provide information about their services and home care products.

Although the event is free and open to any area caregiver, registration is required by Oct. 20 as space is limited to 100. To register, visit www.ow.ly/BHDO4 or call Shawnise Martin Miller at 502-852-4769.

For more information, contact Sharon Moore at 812-246-3378.
