    DID YOU KNOW?

The original medical school building (opened in 1838) was destroyed by fire on New Year’s Eve, 1856.  It was rebuilt between 1857 and 1863 on the foundation of the original building. This rebuilt “original” building remained the UofL Medical Department’s main teaching facility until 1908. (Courtesy: History Collections, Kornhauser Health Sciences Library.)

    Sustainability

8.) Green Tip: A simple way to cut paper use in half

The best way to reduce our environmental impact and save money isn’t by changing what we consume, but reducing how much we waste. If you must print, remember that a blank side of paper is a waste. Cut paper use in half by printing or copying on both sides. This option is available on many campus machines and can be set as the default or selected for individual print jobs. A manual option is printing odd pages and then using the bypass feeder for even pages (or for single-sided scrap paper).
