Screenings will be in Swain Student Activities Center’s Floyd Theater with moderators from the College of Arts and Sciences leading discussions afterward. The Institute for Intercultural Communication and the communication department offer the ninth annual series.

The schedule includes:

  • “The First Grader,” Kenya, 2010 film about an 84-year-old who fights to get the education he could not afford in the past, 2 p.m. March 1
  • “Hero,” China, 2002 film about a warrior’s journey to overcome the army that massacred his people, 4 p.m. March 2
  • “Blancanieves,” Spain, 2012 twist on the classic Snow White fairy tale, 5 p.m. March 3
