DID YOU KNOW
The Kentucky Racing Health Services Center, a nonprofit clinic run by the University of Louisville School of Nursing, has been recognized as an innovative clinical model by the American Academy of Nursing. The clinic serves low-income thoroughbred racing industry workers and their families. The designation recognizes innovative, evidence-based and nurse-designed care models that have shown significant clinical and financial outcomes.

The Metro United Way and the Mayor’s Office hosted a community breakfast on behalf of the Ready for K Alliance, where Jill Jacobi-Vessels, director of the Early Learning Campus, was a moderator for the discussion panel. Jacobi-Vessels also served as a panelist for the Kentucky Girl STEM Collaborative Conference, which focused on ways to engage young women in STEM fields.

Summer Camps at the Speed Art Museum

Paid UofL Sustainability Internships available in 2017-18
Know students with a passion for advancing environmental, social & economic stewardship on campus? Please let them know that UofL’s Sustainability Council will offer paid internships in 2017-18. Interns work up to 10 hours/week throughout the year on tangible projects developed with supervisors from the Council. Positions available include: Zero Waste Intern, and Sustainability Communications Intern. Applications due August 23.

Instead of driving to campus, you can bike, walk, ride any TARC bus free with UofL ID, or find carpools through the new Cardinal Directions service. While on campus, you can borrow wheels with UofL Bike-Share and UofL Car-Share.

She will discuss the prevalence of depression among couples presenting for infertility eval, identify the psychological barriers to seeking infertility evaluation and treatment and review options for identifying patients at risk for an occult psychological disorder.
