    The soundtrack for Saturday’s 2016 Thunder Over Louisville fireworks show will feature The Collegiate Chorale, the premiere chorale ensemble in UofL’s School of Music, alongside the Louisville Orchestra. The playlist includes more than 40 songs – from Mozart to Michael Jackson to “My Old Kentucky Home.”

    Free for GHN Wellness Center members

    Enjoy 45 minutes of quality movements that will nourish your spine, revitalize your postural muscles, and strengthen your core with every movement. Exercises are shown at different skill levels so each person can work to their own individual competency.

    2.) Change your pace with GHN’s Cardio Kick & Sculpt class

    Fridays, 5:30-6:30 p.m., Get Healthy Now Wellness Center at Humana Gym

    Free for GHN Wellness Center members

    Join us for an action-packed workout that improves strength, muscle tone, endurance, and will help you stick to your fitness goals. Class includes interval training exercises and all moves are modified based on fitness level.

    3.) KORU retreat will teach you how to focus, be resilient

    June 18, 10 a.m. – 2:15 p.m., Parklands of Floyds Fork

    Faculty, staff and students: $12 fee includes lunch

    Get Healthy Now, School of Nursing and Health Promotion Office invites you to our half-day KORU retreat at the Parklands of Floyds Fork Center. This silent retreat is useful for anyone who has already taken a KORU course or is new to mindfulness and meditation. Limited spaces available, please register online.

    4.) Shared services town hall today

    April 22, 10-11:30 a.m., Chao Auditorium in Ekstrom Library

    The Office of the Sr. Vice President for Finance and Administration will hold two town hall events to present an overview of the Belknap Campus shared services plan, receive your feedback, and answer questions. The event will be streamed live online for those who can’t make it in person.

    6.) Paid UofL Sustainability Internships available in 2016-17

    Know students with a passion for advancing environmental, social and economic stewardship on campus? UofL’s Sustainability Council will offer paid internships in 2016-17 (some available summer 2016). Interns work up to 10 hrs/wk on tangible projects with council supervision. Positions include: Garden & Farmers Market, Composting, Zero Waste, Communications, etc.
