LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Business Week magazine has ranked the University of Louisville’s College of Business in the top 10 percent of the nation’s business schools for 2011.

UofL’s business school placed 111th out of some 1,500 rated in the survey, making it the top-ranked Kentucky business school and the 58th highest of all those at U.S. public universities.

Top scores for academic quality, teaching quality, a low student-faculty ratio and high SAT and ACT scores of students were among factors contributing to the high ranking, said Charles Moyer, the school’s dean.

UofL’s business school offers programs in undergraduate business, accounting and economics, a variety of master’s of business administration degree (MBA) programs and a doctoral degree in entrepreneurship. Its entrepreneuship program consistently earns top rankings from U.S. News and World Report, Entrepreneur Magazine and Princeton Review
