UofL to host massive block party at KFC Yum! Center Plaza

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. –The University of Louisville Alumni Association will once again host Homecoming on Main Street, a free, public gathering that kicks off the university’s homecoming festivities.

    The Oct. 13 event at the KFC Yum! Center Plaza begins at 11 a.m. and includes music, inflatables, face painting, a rock-climbing wall, vendor booths, games and a beer garden. Many downtown restaurants will offer specials during the event. This year’s theme is “Return to the Nest.”

    UofL officials said the first downtown homecoming block party was their most popular alumni event in 2011, bringing thousands of people to the KFC Yum! Center.
