UofL students receive prestigious national scholarships


    LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Five University of Louisville students and a recent graduate recently earned national security related scholarships. Most of the winners will travel to other countries as part of the scholarship award and one student will attend a summer course at Brookhaven National Laboratory.

    Two of the students received a National Security Education Program David L. Boren scholarship for the 2009-10 academic years. They are:

    Cindy Hess
    Cindy Hess has more than 30 years of experience in communications, marketing and investor relations, including more than a decade at UofL. She is "sort of" retired but happy to come back to the Office of Communications and Marketing to help with special projects and assignments.
