LOUISVILLE, Ky. – After a successful pilot program last year, University of Louisville employees are once again dedicating a day to helping our community. The 2nd Annual Day of Service will be Friday, April 8.

The day of volunteering, which is open to all UofL employees, expanded from three sites in 2015 to four this year. The sites are:

    Americana Community Center

    • South Louisville Community Center
    • Parkhill Community Center
    • Wayside Christian Mission

Up to 100 staff members will perform tasks like cleaning, painting and spreading mulch. “UofL allows staff members to take one day off a year to perform community service,” said Ralph Fitzpatrick, UofL associate vice president for community engagement. “We do this because we are committed to the city of Louisville and we are privileged to be able to give back.”For further information, contact Fitzpatrick at 502-852-6026.
