Take Back the Night returns to UofL Sept. 30

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Grace Brown and Kaelyn Siversky, founders of Project Unbreakable, will be the featured speakers at Take Back the Night, an annual University of Louisville event to raise awareness about violence.

    Take Back the Night, a free, public event, is 5:30 p.m.–7 p.m. Sept. 30 outside of the Red Barn, Belknap Campus. The event is offered by the Prevention, Education and Advocacy on Campus and in the Community (PEACC), a group that provides support to students, staff and faculty who are affected by dating or domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and harassment.

    Project Unbreakable is a visual campaign illuminating the issues surrounding sexual violence. Brown and Siversky began their efforts through a Tumblr blog, which has grown into a national effort to raise awareness about sexual violence.
