Planetarium at UofL to show final journey of space shuttle

    IMPORTANT UPDATE: Once again, plans for a Discovery launch celebration at UofL’s Gheens Science Hall and Rauch Planetarium have been changed. The event will not take place Nov. 3. The event is now scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4. NASA has announced that the lift off time for Nov. 4 is 3:29 p.m. The event is free. Given the tentative nature of the launch schedule, anyone planning to attend should check NASA’s website at http://www.nas.gov/missions/highlights/schedule.html or call UofL’s Cindy Hess at 502-852-1105 for updates.

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville’s Gheens Science Hall and Rauch Planetarium will offer a free, public viewing of the final launch of NASA’s space shuttle Discovery.
