Vietnam War stories from a March 31 UofL event are scheduled to air the next two weekends on C-SPAN3’s American History TV.

“Unheard Tales of the Vietnam War: A South Vietnamese Perspective from Kentucky” featured five panelists sharing memories 40 years after the fall of Saigon. The Vietnam War Commemoration Committee at UofL organized the free, public event with the McConnell Center, president’s office, enrollment management office and history department.

C-SPAN3’s program will air at 4:30 p.m. April 26 and again at 8:30 a.m. May 2. The program also will be available afterward on the C-SPAN3 American History TV website: http://www.c-span.org/series/?ahtv

Panelists included veterans Hung Le, Tung Nguyen and Khue Tran, along with Tran’s wife Hao Tran; Gary Minh Tran, former cabinet member of the South Vietnamese government, also was a panelist.
