Cate Fosl, her biographer and director of UofL’s Anne Braden Institute for Social Justice Research, and activists Carla Wallace and Bob Cunningham will discuss their personal encounters with Braden. They also will show clips from the new documentary, “Anne Braden: Southern Patriot,” from Appalshop Films and produced by Mimi Pickering and Anne Lewis.

The luncheon will begin at noon in Room 139 of the Shumaker Research Building on Belknap Campus. Reservations are required by Sept. 20. General admission is $7. Students who preregister may attend for free. Register online or contact Marian Vasser, 502-852-2252, or Clest Lanier, 502-852-3042.

The talk is part of the UofL NETWORK luncheon series. The College of Arts and Sciences sponsors it through its Office for International, Diversity and Outreach Programs. NETWORK is an acronym for New Energy to Work Out Racial Kinks.
