Beginning Oct. 10, crews will remove the roadway, including pavers that have begun to sink. They then will dig several feet below the surface, removing all existing materials and replacing them with a concrete surface that will better stabilize the pavers above.
Third Street will be narrowed from four lanes to two during construction. The project is scheduled for completion around the Thanksgiving holiday.
