The free party is 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, on Cardinal Boulevard, between Third and Fourth streets, just in front of Cardinal Towne. The event features carnival rides, laser tag, a zip line, mechanical bull, and music and deejay appearance from WAMZ and RadioNow. Free hot dogs and Pepsi Products will be available, and attendees can purchase $3 funnel cakes.

The Block Party helps the university kick off Homecoming 2013. Game day is Friday, Oct. 18.
