The party is 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 22 on Cardinal Boulevard, between Third and Fourth Streets, just in front of Cardinal Towne. It features free grilled food, rides and live music by local bands The Louisville Crashers and Old School. Cardinal Towne businesses will offer daylong specials and attendees also can purchase $3 funnel cakes from vendors.

The Block Party helps UofL kick off homecoming festivities — the Homecoming king and queen competition top 10 finalists will be named during the festivities.

Admission is free for all. The Block Party is sponsored by UofL’s Student Activities Board, Cardinal Towne and Pepsi. For more information, the general public can send an email to newhit03@gmail.com.
