Louisville’s annual IdeaFestival kicks off today and will include its “Thrivals” program. Students from several regional high schools attend the program each year for free, but they have to earn their spot by writing essays. The brainchild of Nat Irvin II, management professor in the University of Louisville College of Business, “Thrivals” came from groundbreaking research he published in 2004.
