1.) Theatre Arts seeking performers/collaborators
Sept. 3, 5:30 p.m., Thrust Theatre Building
Theatre Arts is seeking performers, writers and other collaborators interested in working on an upcoming production about issues of race, housing, segregation and community policing from 1954 to present day as part of the Anne Braden Institute’s commemoration of the Wade home purchase and Braden sedition case. The play, which will include a trial reenactment, will also serve as an opportunity to discuss the recent events in Ferguson, Missouri, and related issues in the Louisville community.

Insurance will be billed. UofL insurance covers 100 percent.
Is it time for your annual mammogram? UofL’s Kentucky Cancer Program is pleased to bring the mobile mammography van back to Belknap Campus for women 40 years old and over. Mammograms will be provided by the James Graham Brown Cancer Center, a part of KentuckyOne Health. KCP and UofL Women’s Center will be onsite with information. 3.) Retention initiative focuses on using SAGE to aid students
REACH is encouraging all faculty teaching 100–200 courses to use SAGE to aid students experiencing academic or personal difficulties. SAGE is an early warning system that allows faculty to instantly schedule instructor meetings and to recommend tutoring and/or advising to a single student or large groups of students in academic need. 6.) Satisfy your lunar craving on Observe the Moon Night

Join the Gheens Science Hall and Rauch Planetarium and Louisville Astronomical Society (LAS) in celebrating the International Observe the Moon Night. The evening begins at 7:30 p.m. with a ride in the planetarium’s virtual spaceship to get up close and personal with our nearest neighbor, the moon. At 8:30 p.m., LAS members will have telescopes set up in the courtyard for live observing. Don’t worry if Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate—the exploration can continue in the dome.
