8.) PLAN hosts workshop for grad students on how to manage their mentors

    Sept. 30, 2 to 3 p.m., Houchens Building, Room 105

Your relationship with your mentor is one of the most important of those you will have during graduate school. However, many (if not most) graduate students rarely consider how to best “manage their mentor. This workshop includes what mentors have to say about how to best “manage” them, from communication suggestions to practical advice for making progress. Graduate students interested in attending can register and find more information on the PLAN website.

    Additional Information: Event listing.

9.) PLAN hosts workshop on CVs and resumes for graduate students

    Oct. 1, 2 to 3 p.m., Houchens Building, Room 105

Building a resume or CV that highlights your experience and skills as a unique candidate for a position is vital in the job search process. But when do you use a resume and when do you use a CV.? Grad students need to know how to create both a resume and a CV, and know the differences between them. This workshop introduces key elements and questions to consider in using one or the other. Graduate students interested in attending can register and find more information on the PLAN website.

    Additional Information: Event listing.
