8.) Green Tip: Put more green in your holidays!
The holidays can be hard on the budget and the planet. Save money, resources and the environment this season with a few simple steps. Don’t make your office/lab work when you leave for the holidays: Turn down thermostats, power down computers and equipment, and unplug chargers, printers and appliances. Serve local, seasonal foods and less meat. Consider low-impact, non-material gifts like memberships, tickets to local performing arts, or skill-building classes like UofL’s Lifelong Learning offerings.
Additional Information: More “green” holiday tips.
