    There’s still time left on the shot clock to sign up for GHN’s March Madness Challenge. You have one extra week to form a team of five UofL colleagues and earn points for participating in fitness classes and other exercise opportunities at the GHN Wellness Center.     8.) Blackboard Summer and Fall 2013 courses to be deleted

    Blackboard courses from the summer and fall 2013 (4135, 4138) will be archived and deleted after Wednesday, March 31. This is a semi-annual process by the Delphi Center that frees up server space for new courses. If you have a specific need to keep a spring 2013 course available beyond March 31, please submit a request using the link provided by that date. Additional information on this process can be found in the Blackboard News module on the login page.

    9.) 2015 Nora Iasigi Bullitt Memorial Lecture presents Herman van Bergen

    March 12, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Ekstrom Library, Chao Auditorium

    Free

    Working at the intersection of anthropology and art, Herman van Bergen is constructing a site-specific monument to the people of Curaçao. The design of this architectural installation addresses colonization, cross cultural exchanges and the suffering that can occur when worlds collide. He will be collaborating with musicians, artists, engineers and underprivileged young adults to provide a space for people to gather and consider their connection to each other and the past.

    Diane Harper, MD, MPH, MS, Rowntree Endowed Professor and Chair, Department of Family and Geriatric Medicine, presents Primary HPV Screening. Attendees will be able to describe the natural history of HPV infections and will be able to describe the risk of CIN 3+ disease after screening. Attendees will be able to describe HPV primary screening. CME category 1 is available for both AAFP and ACCME accreditation.

    This Friday, please join us for the 5th Annual Dr. Thomas H. Pinkstaff Memorial Lectureship featuring Stephen M. Downs, MD, MS. Downs is a professor of pediatrics, vice chair for general pediatrics, and director of children’s health services research at Indiana University School of Medicine. He will be presenting “CHICA: Ten Years of Clinical Decision Support.” Also, as a reminder, if UofL cancels or delays opening, there will be no Pediatric Grand Rounds.
