    Take the time to regroup midday with a 50-minute all-levels yoga or Pilates class. Get Healthy Now is offering Lunchtime Yoga & Pilates Monday-Thursday. Whether you are new to yoga/Pilates or have taken classes before, all will benefit from these mind and body-balancing sessions taught by our experienced instructors. Leave the Wellness Center satiated, refreshed and ready to take on the rest of your day! Sign up before June 30th for only $35 for unlimited classes. First class is always free!

    Mondays at 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Get Healthy Now Wellness Center at Humana Gym

    Free for employees, retirees and their spouses/QAs

    Get in shape with GHN’s R.I.P.P.E.D. group fitness class! This class is specifically designed to make you work hard and get you heated—in a good way! This high intensity class that uses a combination of free weight, body weight and resistance training will make you sweat. Summertime is the best time to “Get R.I.P.P.E.D” and ready for fun in the sun!

    It’s not too late to showcase your support for a healthy lifestyle and sustainable transportation. Compete with your UofL colleagues to earn the coveted title of most active cyclists on campus!     4.) Information session for post-bac pre-med program scheduled

    June 6, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Ekstrom Library room 254

    Come learn more about our program for career changers interested in pursuing medical school school to become a physician. We are seeking college graduates with minimal pre-med level science completed. Our program is a one stop shop for its students supporting them each step of the way. Let us help you to become the physician you always wanted to be!

    5.) Evaluation and Management of the Patients with Brain and Spinal Metastasis

    July 10, 7:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Clinical and Translational Research Building

    This one day CME course will present a multidisciplinary approach needed for the care and treatment of patients with CNS Metastasis. The event will host 10 speakers providing lectures related to their specialties. MDs and DOs will receive 4.5 CME credits and RNs will receive 5.4 CEU credits.     7.) Children 8 to 13 years needed for anxiety and worry study

    IRB #13.0923 Are you stressed? Is your child stressed, anxious, or worried? We can help! The UofL Developmental Psychopathology Lab is conducting a study examining the nature of worry and anxiety in parents and children. Parents and their children between the ages of 8 and 13 years are eligible to participate. Participants will be compensated $20 for their time and receive free diagnostic interviews, detailed feedback and a report outlining the results of our assessment.

    8.) Our Shared History: The Floyds of Kentuckiana with Bob Hill
    June 11, noon, Hidden Hill Nursery, 1011 Utica Pike, Utica, Ind.
    Free for UofL students, faculty, and staff
    Retired Courier-Journal columnist Bob Hill has spent six years traveling the  20-mile section of Floyds Fork that is being converted into the Parklands of Floyds Fork. In that time, he has studied the history of the Floyd Family for whom the river is named. Join The Filson Historical Society at Hidden Hill Nursery to learn about the family and the history of Floyds Fork. Reservations are required. The Filson is part of A&S’s Center for Arts and Culture Partnerships.
