    2.) 19th Annual Red Barn Alumni (RBAA) Golf Scramble

    June 21, 7 a.m., Crossings Golf Club, Brooks

    $60

    The RBAA has several openings for teams of four for the 19th Annual RBAA Golf Scramble at the Crossings Golf Club, 2015 Letts Road, Brooks, KY (502) 957-6523. Winning team will qualify to play in the Acura College Alumni Team Championship held at Pinehurst #2 and #4 October 5 to 8 (Pinehurst #2 is the home of the 2014 U.S. Open). Acura is also sponsoring a Hole-in-One Vehicle for a one-year lease. Cost is $60 per person, which includes 18 holes of champion golf, cart and BBQ lunch.

    Provost Shirley Willihnganz appeared last week on KET’s “Louisville Life” program. Find out her views on a decade’s worth of changes to UofL, what she sees as the big questions facing higher education today and what she learned from falling down while taking ice skating lessons.     The Diabetes and Obesity Center will continue its seminar series with a special guest speaker, David Morris, PhD, assistant professor of medicine, Indiana University School of Medicine. His presentation will be titled, Tissue Macrophages: An Emerging Nexus Between Obesity, Inflammation and Type 2 Diabetes. Please join us, everyone is welcome!
