DID YOU KNOW Last week, UofL’s very first Master in Sustainability degree recipient, Betsy Ruhe, successfully defended her thesis, titled “An Assessment of Sustainability in Jefferson County Public Schools (Kentucky).”
FACULTY AND STAFF NOTABLES Lawrence Gettleman, DMD, MSD, professor of Prosthodontics & Biomaterials, Emeritus University of Louisville, School of Dentistry, received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Harvard School of Medicine. The 1966 Harvard graduate was recognized as a “respected scholar, inventor and scientist.” Gettleman joined UofL in 1990 and has volunteered for more than 25 years with the Louisville Regional Science and Engineering Fair.
