    6.) New research software modules and service

    Join the Research and Innovation team for an open house to discover the “iRIS” system, a new software suite meant to make your lives easier in managing research. The EVPRI office has currently integrated COI and IRB modules in iRIS. The IACUC module is currently under construction, to be followed by IBC, then Grants and Contracts. This will be an opportunity to ask questions and offer suggestions. Refreshments will be served. Brief overview.

    The UofL Infant Cognition Lab, Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, will conduct several studies on infant face perception. Infants who are between 3 and 14 months old with normal vision and hearing are invited to participate. Participation involves one brief visit to campus.     10.) ‘Meet the Professor’ Karen Freberg

    The College of Arts and Sciences presents Karen Freberg, professor of communication, as the featured speaker for “Meet the Professor.” She will discuss the major benefits and challenges in social media strategies in crisis as well as its best practices and future implications. The rapid growth of social media challenges crisis communicators to disseminate safety messages to affected audiences quickly and in a manner that promotes maximum compliance.
