    Dec. 3, noon, University Club

    $15/person and $10/students includes lunch

In recent decades, U.S. women have made significant progress towards gender equality in education and employment. At the same time, mothers across the board spent more time caring for their children, in part because of growing demands for intensive mothering. In her talk, Women’s & Gender Studies/Sociology Professor Karen Christopher unpacks these countervailing trends. She explores intersections of gender, race, social class, and social and policy changes to better manage work-family conflict.
