Did You Know?
UofL swimmer Kelsi Worrell won an Olympic gold medal Saturday as part of the United States’ 4 x 100 medley relay. Worrell swam the butterfly leg during Saturday’s preliminary heats. Worrell is the first Cardinal in school history to win an Olympic swimming medal.

Due to the increased threat for rain, the Ice Cream Social has been rescheduled for Monday, August 29, from 2 to 4 p.m., on the courtyard of Grawemeyer Hall. It will feature Comfy Cow ice cream.

5.) Open forums for HR associate vice president candidates to be held next week
Mark your calendars: Two finalists for the Associate Vice President of Human Resources position will answer questions at campus forums Aug. 22 and Aug. 24 in the Floyd Theater. The candidates’ names will be released soon. One will speak Monday, Aug. 22, from 9:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. The second candidate will present to campus Wednesday, Aug. 24, from 9:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. The open forums will be part of a day-long series of interviews for each candidate.

Bring your 4-to-6 year-old to our “Stories in the Sky” workshop to fuel their natural curiosity about the world and sky around them. This beginner’s tour of the night sky teaches families about our celestial neighbors as well as how to find favorite constellations.
