UofL President James Ramsey will preside at the 7 p.m. event and public health major Sadiatu Musah will be the student speaker.

An honorary degree will be presented to Joseph Prather. A native of Hardin County, Prather is known for his long career in Kentucky state government. He also has been a longtime advocate for the university and a member of the Board of Overseers.

Harald Unkelbach, a professor who teaches mathematics and business at a College of Business partner school in Germany, also received an honorary degree this semester. That award was presented to him in November in Germany. Unkelbach is CEO of Germany-based Adolf Wuerth GmbH & Co. KG who worked closely with university administrators to create a Global MBA program through a partnership with Akademie Wuerth Business School.

A 3 p.m. doctoral hooding ceremony will precede the main commencement ceremony.

Some free parking is available on surface streets near the center and paid parking is available in the center’s garage and other nearby garages.
