The film will be shown April 23 at 7 p.m. in Floyd Theater in the Student Activities Center.

Directed by Academy Award-nominated documentarian Kirby Dick, the film follows survivors across the country as they pursue their education while seeking justice.

After the screening, there will be a panel discussion comprised of campus and community experts:

 

  • Gretchen Hunt, staff attorney at Kentucky Association of Sexual Assault Programs
  • Jenn Pence, Case Project Title IX outreach coordinator
  • Angela Taylor, assistant dean of students at UofL
  • Michelle Kuiper, survivor, inspirational speaker, and PEACC volunteer.

“The Hunting Ground” is rated PG-13 and runs 102 minutes. A trailer can be seen on YouTube.

The film and panel discussion are free and open to the community.
