“Bob is a tremendous supporter of UofL” said UofL president James Ramsey. “His knowledge of the university’s needs and how the foundation can help meet those needs is unsurpassed.”
Hughes is a graduate of the UofL School of Medicine, and he completed his residency in family medicine at UofL. He began his term as chairman of the foundation board on Jan. 30. He will serve out the remainder of former chairwoman Debbie Scoppechio’s term, which ends in September.
The other officers elected by the board were:
- Joyce Hagan – Vice Chair
- Ulysses “Junior” Bridgeman – Treasurer
- Frank Weisberg – Secretary
