The 450 doctors of University of Louisville Physicians can provide help and guidance with the health care needs of every member of a family such as this one, from the maternal-fetal obstetrics specialist who suspects a heart defect in this mother’s unborn baby to the Brown Cancer Center specialists who manage her aunt’s breast cancer.

We have a full complement of primary care doctors as well, including family medicine specialists and general pediatricians who administer flu shots, do routine physical exams and give vaccinations.

Many of our physicians practice at our new state-of-the-art outpatient center in downtown Louisville. Soon, they will be linked together with a common information system and an electronic medical record. We are organizing our multiple practices into one large multi-specialty group so that we can serve the needs of patients even better.

The doctors of University of Louisville Physicians care for children at Kosair Children’s Hospital, cancer patients at UofL’s Brown Cancer Center, surgical patients at Norton Hospital, heart transplant patients at Jewish Hospital and all patients at UofL Hospital.

University of Louisville Physicians doesn’t limit its services to Louisville families. We are a referral center for the state, so many patients come here for expert treatment of complex problems. We care for stroke patients throughout the state through our innovative telemedicine robot network. Our doctors also operate clinics and work in hospitals throughout the region so patients can receive needed care close to home.

Over the course of a lifetime, a family faces many potential medical calamities. Some resolve, others require ongoing care, some escalate into full-blown crises – but all of them require the input, management and oversight of medical professionals.

The doctors on the faculty of the UofL School of Medicine are here to help, to comfort, to cure.

We are recruited from the best training programs and universities in the United States and abroad. We are the experts and we’re proud to be here, helping families with all their health care needs.
