The employees who work in the University Bursar Office collect funds throughout the year to donate to a cause during the holiday season. This year, employees chose to support Maryhurst, a nonprofit that helps children in crisis. Past recipients have been UofL Cares, Family Scholar House and the Boys & Girls Club. The employees usually collect between $300 and $500.

4.) Jan. 5 HHS SBIR/STTR due date and UofL Winter Break

Don’t forget, new HHS Standard Due Dates for SBIR/STTR applications are in effect! The Jan. 5 deadline is approaching fast and so is UofL Winter Break. Please send non-clinical subaward proposals to the Office of Industry Engagement via its Service Account (Engage@louisville.edu) as early as possible. Confirmation of COI compliance is required prior to proposal submission, and review will be very limited during Winter Break. For more information contact OIE at Engage@louisville.edu.

5.) End of calendar year gift processing notice

The end of December is a popular time for individuals to send in their annual gifts/donations to support the university. We understand that many individuals take time off during December and January so we ask if your department receives gifts from donors, please be sure to deliver them to Advancement Services as soon as possible. Additionally, it is extremely important that the envelope with the postmark date on it be forwarded to us along with the check and any additional back-up notes and/or letters to ensure accurate tax year receipting is provided to the donor. As a reminder, checks should not be placed in campus mail to our office. They should be hand delivered to our office in Cardinal Station or to the development office on Belknap or HSC campus with an accompanying log.  Feel free to contact Judy Singleton should you have any questions or concerns.

6.) January 5 Proposals – Is your ADF current?

Personnel on federal proposals must have a current annual Attestation and Disclosure Form (ADF) on file for proposal submission. The NIH January 5 SBIR/STTR application due date immediately follows Winter Break. Please be advised that many offices will be closed during break. Prior to the break, please ensure that all named personnel on UofL subaward proposals for January 5 have current ADFs. For information on the ADF requirement, contact the COI Program at coioff@louisville.edu.
