    Inventor, futurist and author Ray Kurzweil will have a discussion and Q&A about the future of artificial intelligence. UofL professor Nat Irvin will moderate. Kurzweil will be guest of the Kentucky Author Forum the evening of Nov. 26. That event has charged admission.

    UofL annually awards Mr. and Ms. Cardinal to an outstanding male and female senior based on academic achievement, extra-curricular activities and contributions to the university and the Louisville community. Recipients must have completed 90 credit hours and have a GPA of 3.0 or above. The online application deadline is Monday, Nov. 26. Interviews will be Wednesday, Nov. 28. If you have a student who would be a good candidate have them email Julie Onnembo or send them the application.

    The UofL Kosair Charities Pediatric Clinical Research Unit at Kosair Children’s Hospital is conducting a clinical research study to evaluate if the investigational study drug improves social skills in children from 6 years to 12 years of age diagnosed with Autism, Asperger’s Disorder, or
    Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS). Eligible subjects may be compensated for time/travel.
