UofL's spring 2025 commencement ceremonies will be Saturday, May 10 at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

University of Louisville President Gerry Bradley will preside over his first UofL commencement ceremonies as president on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the KFC Yum! Center downtown. The ceremonies will take place at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

More than 2,000 of the approximately 3,199 University of Louisville students who applied for degrees and certificates have indicated they will participate in commencement ceremonies.

Student speaker Austin Browner, graduating from the School of Dentistry, will address the morning ceremony, while Griffin Gould, graduating from the J.B. Speed School of Engineering, will speak at the afternoon ceremony.

The UofL Graduate School also will host a doctoral hooding and graduation ceremony for more than 90 graduates on Friday, May 9 at 2 p.m. at the L&N Federal Credit Union Arena.

All of these ceremonies will be broadcast live at uofl.edu/livestream.

In addition, UofL’s U.S. Air Force ROTC Detachment 295 will hold a commissioning ceremony on Friday, May 9, at 3 p.m. in Stickler Hall Room 101. Seven cadets will be commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Air Force. Earlier in the day, UofL’s U.S. Army ROTC cadre, Cardinal Battalion, will hold its commissioning at 9 a.m. in the SAC Ballroom. About a dozen cadets will be commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army.
