UofL Trustees wrap up 2013 with several business matters

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville Board of Trustees today addressed some routine—and not so routine—business during a regular meeting at the Brown & Williamson Club, Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.

    Board members gave authorization for the newest research building at the Health Sciences Center to be named the Kosair Charities Clinical and Translational Research Building and for university officials to create a Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, elevating the program from a division within the Department of Surgery.

    Cindy Hess has more than 30 years of experience in communications, marketing and investor relations, including more than a decade at UofL. She is "sort of" retired but happy to come back to the Office of Communications and Marketing to help with special projects and assignments.
