UofL brings back homecoming parade

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. – It’s back. After a 15-year hiatus, a parade will once again be part of the University of Louisville Alumni Association’s homecoming celebration.

    The Oct. 17 parade, which starts at 6 p.m. at Cardinal Blvd and Third Street near Cardinal Towne, will proceed down Third Street and end at Eastern Parkway.

    UofL President James Ramsey will be grand marshal for the parade, which will celebrate homecoming’s “Welcome bACC” theme. Parade goers will see the UofL Marching Band, new and old Cardinal Bird mascots, Greek organization floats, spirit squads, homecoming court participants and more.

    Organizations and businesses also are encouraged to participate but must register by Oct. 10.

    Homecoming week kicks off Oct. 13 and highlights include:
