Location changed for Saturday’s Cards under the Stars free movie night

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The free University of Louisville Cards under the Stars outdoor movie night series will move to a new location this Saturday, Aug. 17.

    Saturday night’s showing of “Oz the Great and Powerful” will be on the West Lawn near the Red Barn on the Belknap Campus. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. with inflatable rides, children’s activities, local mascot appearances and music. The movie will start at about 9 p.m.

    Parking will be available in several lots near the site. Patrons should enter via First Street off Cardinal Boulevard. Once on campus, visitors should turn left at the stop sign, then park either at the University Club lot or in the yellow lot behind Miller Hall.

    Several roads near Belknap Campus will be closed Saturday from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for the Lunar 5K run. Third Street from Central Avenue to Cardinal Boulevard will be closed at that time. In addition, Central Avenue and Eastern Parkway will be closed between Floyd Street and Third Street.
