Auditions will be Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 23 and 24, 7 p.m.-9 p.m. at the Thrust Theatre, 2314 S. Floyd St. Roles are available for all ages and are open to gender and ethnicity.

Callbacks are scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 25, beginning at 7 p.m.

Actors may audition for any or all of the fall plays:

  • “Richard III,” William Shakespeare’s historical tragedy. There are 10 roles for adult males and females. Rinda Frye, department chair, will direct. Rehearsals will begin immediately following callbacks. Play dates are Oct. 5-9.
  • “The Flu Season,” a provocative dark comedy by Will Eno. Parts are open for mature actors (two men and a woman) to play a doctor, nurse and prologue character. James Tompkins, associate professor of theater, will direct. Rehearsals begin in September. Play dates are Nov. 16-20.
  • “Mad at Miles,” a Pearl Cleage work described as a funny yet angry lyric play. Casting for four to six adult African-American females includes opportunities for singing, dancing, humor and dialogue. Lundeana Thomas, theater professor and director of the African American Theatre Program, will direct. Play dates are Nov. 30-Dec. 4.
