The area in the middle of West, Center and Wellness halls was the first stop Sept. 1 for Jane Ramsey; her husband, University of Louisville President James Ramsey; the Ramseys’ pugs, Melanie, Mason and Mimi; and Provost Shirley Willihnganz.
The ice cream meet and greet has been an annual tradition since Ramsey became president, said Shannon Staten, director of housing and residence life. It was a way for him to meet students when he first came to the university, and he’s continued it every year since.
UPS delivered Cardinal Classic ice cream boxes earlier in the day.
Students and administrators turned out for the event.
