PEACC works to end violence against women and the Feb. 10-12 production is part of V-Day, a global movement to end violence against women and girls. Curtain time is at 7 each night. The performance will be at The Playhouse, Cardinal Boulevard between Second and Third streets. Admission is $8 ($6 in advance) for college students with an ID and $10 for faculty, staff and community members.
This year, V-Day has added a spotlight monologue performance about Haitian women to the program. A portion of funds raised from ticket sales for all V-Day productions will go to support domestic and sexual violence shelters and services in Haiti. Proceeds from UofL event also will benefit PEACC. Last year, UofL’s performance was one of about 5,400 staged around the world.
The play is just one event PEACC plans as it expands the concept of V-Day with its V-Week. Other events include:

Men’s Story Project Workshop, 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m., Feb. 8, Campus Health Promotion Activity Room, Belknap Campus. Join Theater Arts, Muhammad Ali Institute, MensWork and Men of PEACC for a workshop on how to write personal stories of triumph.
Cultural Center Teach In – Women of Haiti, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Feb. 9, Cultural Center. Panel discussion with faculty on V-Day spotlight monologue Women of Haiti.
Men of PEACC with Meat & Potatoes, immediately following opening night performance, ULP Kurz Hall. Participants should wear red and stay afterward for a discussion of the play and free food.
