Student and faculty pieces ranging from functional to decorative will be on sale in Room 136 of the Studio Arts Building. Times Dec. 2 are 8 a.m.-8 p.m. On Dec. 3, the sale will go from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Expect to see bowls, vases, mugs, teapots, platters, casserole dishes and other functional items, as well as sculptural decorative objects. Prices will range from $2 to $100.
“We have unique handcrafted art to fit any budget along with one-of-a-kind showstoppers for your home,” said Jennie DiBeneditto, a recent fine arts graduate.
Sale proceeds help the UofL Hite Art Institute’s Ceramics Art Organization and supports student travel to national art conferences and free public workshops with nationally recognized visiting artists.
On Dec. 2, sale-goers can park without a pass at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium and take the university shuttle to the Studio Arts Building. On Dec. 3, sale-goers can park in the blue lot just south of the Studio Arts Building at 2314 S. Floyd St. (at the intersection of Floyd and Warnock streets, diagonally across from McDonald’s restaurant).
