Their roles at the University of Louisville may be worlds apart but their creative work will come together in a special art exhibit at UofL’s Photographic Archives.

Twenty-one UofL staff and faculty will show talents they don’t get to use in their professional careers as part of the first Open Walls UofL Faculty/Staff Art Exhibit.

“We think this is a great way to let people show a little bit of who they are outside of work and that it will be fun for the university community,” said Provost Shirley Willihnganz.

Exhibited items include paintings, drawings, basketry, fiber art, fused glass photography and mixed media.

The Office of Communications and Marketing, Ekstrom Library Photographic Archives, the Office of the Provost and Hite Art Galleries are sponsors.

The exhibit opened Friday, June 3, with a noon reception and originally was to have closed Monday, June 6. Its new schedule is: 9 a.m.–5 p.m., Monday, June 6 through Thursday, June 9, and 9 a.m.–4 p.m., Friday, June 10. The Photographic Archives is in the lower level of the east wing of Ekstrom Library on Belknap Campus.
