More than 40 artists’ books from UofL’s Bridwell Art Library collection will be on display in the Belknap Gallery. The books come from the library’s collection of more than 300 such works and they represent a wide variety of materials, construction techniques and artistic approaches.
Louisville artist and Hite alumnus Joseph McGee has responded to the recent upheavals in Egypt with a visual meditation on the Sphinx. His work will be displayed in Gallery X.
Sara Northerner, UofL’s first graduate from the new interdisciplinary humanities doctorate degree in aesthetics and creative studies, will present the visual artwork that was a part of her dissertation, “The Phenomenological Essence of Image,” in the Covi Gallery.
