    DID YOU KNOW

    UofL has announced this year’s incoming class of 10 Grawemeyer Scholars, all of whom are from Kentucky. The award provides full in-state tuition or four years, plus an $8,000 per year educational allowance to cover other academic expenses. Read more about the 2017 scholars here

     

    FACULTY AND STAFF NOTABLES

    Tiffany Meredith, an employee with the Office of Communications and Marketing on the HSC Campus, plays competitive polo and holds a United States Polo Association handicap. A member of the Louisville Polo Club, she has competed in Kentucky, Florida and New Orleans in the past year, and was one of just two female players to compete in the 2016 Kentucky Amateur Cup, held each September at the Kentucky Horse Park. She was included in a profile story about the club in last Sunday’s Courier-Journal

    Alicia Kelso is the director of social media and digital content. She joined UofL in 2015 as director of communications at the Brandeis School of Law. She also serves as a senior contributor at Forbes.com, writing about the restaurant industry, which she has covered since 2010. Her work has been featured in publications around the world, including NPR, Bloomberg, The Seattle Times, Good Morning America and Franchise Asia Magazine.
