University employees can email requests for visitor parking reservations on Belknap Campus. Click on this link and select Belknap Visitor Parking Reservation Request for more details. There’s also a Parking Office’s link for additional visitor parking options. All reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis and must provide 48-hour notice to receive confirmation. Parking permits are required in all campus lots Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., including Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.

Shachar Pinsker’s talk, A Rich Brew: Urban Cafes and Modern Jewish Culture, explores the remarkable ways in which the vital café life of Odessa, Vienna, Tel Aviv and other cities shaped Jewish arts and ideas of the early 20th century. He is author of the Jordan Schnitzler Award-winning book “Literary Passports: The Making of Modernist Hebrew Fiction in Europe,” and is associate professor of Hebrew literature and culture at the University of Michigan.
