    DID YOU KNOW?

     

    The annual Holiday Cards “Buy Local” Shopping Tour takes shoppers to locally owned businesses, celebrating all that is unique about the city of Louisville. It also begins and ends with refreshments and fun (door prizes!) at the University Club. The tour is Friday, Dec. 5, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and seats are going fast on the two buses. The cost is $35.     1.) Info session scheduled on student immigration regulations

    Nov. 21, noon to 1 p.m., International Center, Brodschi Hall

    In honor of International Education Week, the International Center’s Student and Scholar Services Office invites faculty and staff to an information session on immigration regulations and university policies regarding international students and scholars. The session is designed for faculty and staff to learn about admission and enrollment requirements, employment benefits and travel regulations as well as cultural and adjustment issues of international students and scholars. Lunch provided.

    2.) RealTalks topic is race and politics

    All are welcome to attend RealTalks. These all-inclusive discussions are sessions hosted by AAMI (African American Male Initiative) and SAAB (Student African American Brotherhood) featuring intellectual conversations about various down-to-earth topics and “elephants in the room.” The topic for November is Race and Politics. We will be going over various questions pertaining to voting, President Obama and building political views. There will be food at this event.
