The Graduation Celebration is an annual event to pay homage to the past, while celebrating the future and endless possibilities of all graduating underrepresented students at the University of Louisville. This year’s celebration will feature a speaker, music, individual recognition and reception. Join the Cultural Center as we recognize all 2014 graduates.

Attention all UofL faculty, staff and students. Parking for the Kentucky Oaks and Derby events on May 2 and 3 is available at all Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium parking lots for $5 with a valid UofL parking hang tag.

5.) Julep Ball has dance-only tickets still available

The Julep Ball is one of the longest running Derby weekend fundraisers. Every year, more than 1,300 local and national business leaders, horse industry professionals and celebrities from sports, music, cinema and television come together to support the James Graham Brown Cancer Center at the University of Louisville and the Harriet B. Porter Endowment. This year, country music artist J.D. Shelburne, a Taylorsville native, has written a song especially for The Julep Ball and the James Graham Brown Cancer Center, “The Next Big Thing.” Dance-only tickets are still available and include open bar beginning at 9 p.m. and four hours of dancing to The Bob Hardwick Sound and special musical guests.

4.) UofL participating in “Pass the Cap”
Graduating University of Louisville students are “passing the cap” as part of a campaign to inspire people to graduate from college. 5.) Libraries’ Robotic Retrieval System will undergo preventive maintenance

The Libraries’ Robotic Retrieval System in Ekstrom Library will undergo quarterly preventive maintenance beginning May 6 through May 8. Items requested from the RRS may be delayed or slow because of the maintenance. Items that are delayed will be available that evening or the following morning.
