    Louisville’s NCAA basketball tournament opponent Friday is UC Irvine, whose mascot is Peter the Anteater. He leads the UCI rally cry with a loud “ZOT,” the sound an anteater makes when snapping up its food. His inspiration was the comic strip “B.C.”

    1.) SAVE THE DATE: Relieve end-of-semester stress with Puppy Therapy

    12:30 to 12:50 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2015: Health Sciences Center – Kornhauser Library Courtyard; Friday, April 10, 2015: Belknap – University Club Front Lawn

    Free for employees

    Plan to take time to unwind and de-stress with the help of a four-legged friend. Get Healthy Now has teamed up with the Kentucky Humane Society, Kornhauser Library and the University Club to offer two therapeutic Take 20 Puppy Therapy sessions. Research shows that enjoying time with a puppy can increase feelings of connectedness and improve blood pressure, cholesterol and triglyceride levels.

    3.) One day CME course: Peri-operative Critical Events and Airway Management

    May 16, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. , Paris Simulation Center, SOM Instructional Building

    Join us as Drs. Latif, Lenhardt and Wadhwa along with the department of anesthesiology and peri-operative medicine present Peri-operative Critical Events and Airway Management. This one day CME course will offer lectures in the morning and hands-on practice with simulation-based learning in the afternoon. All emergency physicians, surgeons, pulmonologists, RNs, and respiratory therapists are invited.
