1.) Biometric screenings are this week on HSC

Free for employees, retirees, spouses/QA
Make an appointment with Get Healthy Now for a free biometric screening Wednesday. Screenings provide blood pressure, weight, waist/hip measurements and blood cholesterol/glucose data and only take about 10 minutes to complete. Participants will need to fast for six to 12 hours beforehand. Appointment slots are limited, so schedule yours today.

2.) Sign up now for desktop support
Now is the perfect time to sign up for IT’s desktop support plans! Plans provide on-site help for your department’s technology needs, such as setting up computers, installing software and updates, diagnosing and troubleshooting problems, and making warranty and non-warranty repairs. Make sure your faculty and staff are covered before the semester begins!

3.) Submit your events to the 2014 Cardinal Event Guide
Deadline June 11
If you have an event taking place in Fall 2014 (Aug. 25 to Dec. 16), and would like to submit it for possible inclusion in the 2014 Event Guide, submit it here by June 11. The guide is distributed to all first-years and many upperclass students, so this is a great way to promote your fall programs and events!

4.) ‘This I Believe’ faculty/staff discussion group leaders needed

Please consider serving as a discussion leader for Explore More with Book-in-Common, one of the six Welcome Week Signature CAPS Events. First-year students will discuss the Book-in-Common “This I Believe” in small groups led by faculty/staff. All leaders will receive a comprehensive, event-specific facilitation guide and copy of the book. Event date Aug. 22. Time: Pre-event overview at 12:30 p.m., event from 1 to 3 p.m. Fill out the form to volunteer.
